Why and Why not – iPhone 5

So, Apple has finally launched its most awaited product iPhone 5. This time, people were expecting something more than better, but the point is; does this product fulfill people’s expectations? Have they delivered what we were expecting?

In my point of view, answer is 50-50. Apple iPhone 5 is really a wonderful gadget but it is not as better as our expectations.

Here are some pros and cons of Apple iPhone 5

iPhone 5 Pros:-

  1. 4G LTE: - The new iPhone 5 is 4G LTE compatible. Wherever 4G network is available, then the phone’s surfing speed (up to 20mbps) is phenomenal.
  2. Weight: - Approx 1 once lighter than its successor iPhone 4s. It feels really nice in the hand.
  3. Faster Processor and RAM :- The new iPhone 5 comes with new Dual-Core 1.2 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM which help it to work faster than iPhone 4S.
  4. Camera: - iPhone 5 comes with 8MP autofocus camera which can capture image and record videos in HD mode.
  5. iOS 6:- The new iPhone 5 has iOS 6 operating system. The iOS 6 is an upgraded version of operating system which comes with a lot of exciting features like Maps applications, Passport app and much more.
  6. Battery: - It comes with 1440 mAH battery which can give up to 225 hours of standby time.

iPhone Cons:-

  1. Earphone Jack on the bottom: - It has earphone jack on its bottom, reminds me old Nokia days. It is not comfortable to put in your pocket. I couldn’t understand the theory behind this idea.
  2. Screen:-  If you use its screen for intense use more than 20 minutes, it may get hot. But it is not a big deal if you use a case for it.
  3. Price: - The phone is not far different than iPhone 4S but if we talk about price, there is really a huge gap.
